Traceability
Our trusted partners
As part of our transition process, we consider it important to support our suppliers in adopting a more responsible approach. This will perpetuate trust-based relationships, some of which date back over fifteen years, while at the same time helping the textile and fashion industry evolve.
At the start of each new collaboration, we share our requirements in the areas of Human Rights, the Environment and Ethics with our partners through formalised documents.
These include the Ethics Charter, the Supplier Code of Conduct and the General Purchasing Conditions.

We are also signatories to the United Nations Global Compact.
Social audits
As we are responsible for what we produce, we are committed to regular audits by independent third-party experts to ensure that we fulfil these commitments. By the end of 2024, 100% of our tier 1 suppliers had been covered by a social audit.

In addition to the usual channels of communication, Claudie Pierlot stakeholders can email ethics@smcp.com to report violations of laws, regulations or internal principles of conduct confidentially and securely.

Aiming for complete transparency and being fully aware of what is at stake in our industry, we have joined forces with Fairly Made to analyse our supply chain.
Fairly Made is an independent French company founded by two women from the technology sector, and we are happy that we can call on an external, objective service provider specialised in our sector to study our production stages fairly and help us identify areas for improvement.

Now, by scanning the QR code on our products, it is possible to access information relating to each stage of their manufacture: the origin of raw materials, country of manufacture, stages of processing, carbon impact, etc. The fact sheet reveals the story of each product and its environmental impact. You can also find this information on each product page via a dedicated URL.

This QR code can be found on around 98% of the items in the Spring Summer 2025 collection.

While we await Fairly Made traceability for all our products, we can share the final three stages of production for all our products in accordance with the AGEC law that came into force in 2023.

Objective: total traceability on 100% of our collections by 2025.
